Virgilaw is an IP boutique firm. Our practice covers a broad range of IP services, focused mainly on securing, maintaining, and enforcing IP rights in the Philippines and the rest of the world through our correspondent firms. We offer our clients the full benefits of years of solid experience and strong expertise in the many specialized fields of IP practice.

Virgilaw traces its humble beginnings back to 1979 when Virgilio M. Del Rosario first joined his father’s law firm, V.E. Del Rosario & Associates (VERA). It was Virgilio M. Del Rosario who pioneered and led VERA’s Intellectual Property Department, starting with only one foreign client at the time. Since then, the IP Department has come to service more than 6,000 clients throughout the world. Today, the same IP team that has prepared and filed applications each year for its clients and helped protect their valuable IP assets is housed under Virgilaw.

Our current IP team under Virgilaw is actually composed of the same group of people who have consistently provided you with personalized, accurate, and highly reliable service in the past. This is the team that was recognized by the IPO Philippines as the “top 4 filer for trademarks” in 2010 and 2011, while still under Veralaw. Similarly, the same IP team was cited by Asia IP as “one of the best patent practices in the Philippines”.  Today, as an IP boutique firm, we have even more focus and are also utilizing the latest in IP technology and software.
