Virgilio M. Del Rosario

Virgilio M. Del Rosario graduated from Ateneo de Manila University School of Law with second honors in 1971. He then took the Bar Examination upon graduating in 1971 and placed 5th overall. Later in 1973, Virgilio acquired his Masters of Law (LLM) at Harvard Law School in the U.S. He also completed a one year International Tax Program in 1974.

After the International Tax Program, Virgilio joined Sycip, Gores & Velayo’s (SGV) Tax Division in 1974. Then, in 1979, he joined his father’s firm V. E. del Rosario & Associates (VERALAW). A year after joining, he established and headed the Intellectual Property (IP) Department. Beginning from a single foreign client, he built up the Department’s portfolio to more than 6,000 foreign clients.

In May 2013, Virgilio established his own firm, VIRGILAW. He was joined by the lawyers and staff of the IP Department of VERALAW. VIRGILAW is an Intellectual Property boutique firm that covers Intellectual Property services in the Philippines and other parts of the world.
